Islam Makhachev recently accused Paul Felder of ducking him

Makhachev is one of the most serious threats in the lightweight division. He has been surging through, arguably the toughest division in the UFC.

The Dagestani has been on a phenomenal seven-fight win streak. He is unbeaten since October 2015, and is now ranked number 10 in the lightweight division.

Makhachev was recently booked to face Thiago Moises on the 17th of July, this year. He wasn’t particularly happy because he had wanted a higher-ranked opponent – probably someone between number 5 to number 10.

The Russian had also been continuously accusing top-ranked lightweight Rafael dos Anjos and Paul Felder of ducking him. Hence, recently Makhachev and Felder had a verbal spat on Twitter.

There was one particular fan who was annoying Felder on Twitter. He replied mentioning Makhachev, “Meet me at 29th and wilder. 2:30 today.”

Makachev replied, “Meet me in the cage, Apex/Las Vegas.”

And the Irish Dragon was having none of it. He wrote, “I’d rather watch paint dry.”

It would be a fun fight to watch if this matchup ever comes to fruition.

Paul Felder puts Twitterati on ‘clown alert’

Earlier that day, Felder had called out the same fan who had been taunting and accusing Felder of trash-talking Fabia, while ducking Makhachev.

The fan’s tweet read:

“@felderpaul talks shit like a punk to Fabia while he DUCKS @MAKHACHEVMMA … Yo are so not Philly it’s embarrassing. Straight up refused to fight Islam fully knowing his career is over. #Poser”

While calling him a clown, Felder also sarcastically lambasted him, labeling him ‘an internet tough guy’.

Felder tweeted:

“Man. You are so tough! How can I be more fearless like you? How can I be more “Philly” I’ve been such a punk poser for so long. What’s your secret internet tough guy?! We need to know.”

Anonymous Twitter accounts taking swipes and taunting fighters have become pretty common these days.
