Paulo Costa seems to have brought out his Russian blood in another crazy Twitter update
Paulo Costa is no stranger to bizarre Twitter updates and he duly posted another one of these recently.
The former UFC Middleweight title challenger posted a few photos of himself training and the caption was in Russian, it seems.
The caption even featured a Russian flag and the Google translation for the it was “live the day intensely.”
There was more to come from Borrachinha. A user posted that Costa was Brazilian, however, the UFC star claimed that he was “Russian-Brazilian” in another translated tweet.
Costa has had rants on Twitter in the past but the timing of this tweet is a little off. Russia and Ukraine are at war presently, and it was Russia that was the aggressor in this latest conflict in the world.
Paulo Costa looking to bounce back with a win
Costa looked like one of the UFC’s brightest stars until Israel Adesanya happened. The Last Stylebender demolished an undefeated Costa during their Middleweight title fight at UFC 253.
Costa has not been the same since. He did have a chance to get back to the win column by taking on Marvin Vettori. However, the Brazilian faced a lot of problems in cutting weight and the fight was turned into a Light Heavyweight one.
Dana White has claimed that Costa would not compete in the Middleweight division, but it is to be seen what is next for the Brazilian.
He needs a win fast but there is no guarantee of when or who he fights next. Costa currently holds a 13-2 record in his MMA career. The 30-year-old last fought in October 2021.
