Paulo Costa wants to fight Jon Jones next after battling UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya
Brazilian UFC star Paulo Costa wants his next fight to be against Jon Jones after he is done with Israel Adesanya.
The 29-year-old is ranked #2 in the Middleweight rankings and is expected to face the champion Adesanya in his next bout.
Costa has been badgering the UFC to fix the fight soon, and one again took to Twitter. He wanted the location of Adesanya, and even in his broken English, you could make out he wants the fight now.
Borrachinha also wanted the contract to be done asap:
“Send me the f*** location of his house and I ll make him sing the his f****** s*** contract right now!
“Bend your knees to KoB”
Another fan, SharafMMA, then asked when would Costa beat “The Coke Boy” Jon Jones. Costa then used a GIF of WWE star the Rock and said, “Coke Boy is next”.

Jones vs Costa heating up
Costa has taken shots at Adesanya and Jones in the past too. Recently, he tweeted a video of Jones with his dog but posted the caption of the pair looking for cocaine.
That is possibly where the “Coke Boy” nickname gained steam, and his fans have caught up to it.
Jones, for his part, has been trying to fight stars from outside his division. His latest target was Francis Ngannou but the parties could not finalise a deal. Jones also wanted to face Adesanya, and tweeted that he was keen on fighting in 2021 if the UFC could pay them.
However, Costa replied to that tweet and suggested Jones should stay retired.
Sorry JJ, I will erase Izzy in 2020. In 2021, I will erase everyone. Stay retired. https://t.co/hiah4QPFZg

Jones claimed he was done with the UFC and vacated his Light Heavyweight title recently. However, that could be a ploy to get more money from the promotion.
Costa has been impressive in the UFC and has an MMA record of 13 wins and 0 losses. His last clash was against Yoel Romero at UFC 241.
Costa does talk the talk, and it will be interesting to see if he does move up a division to face Jones. However, all that will only happen if he beats Adesanya. Stylebender is the current Middleweight champion and he too is unbeaten in his MMA career.
