Paulo Costa slams Israel Adesanya for ‘shaming’ the UFC Middleweight division

Paulo Costa found another video to hit out at UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya

UFC star Paulo Costa seems to be on a mission to keep taking shots at Israel Adesanya on social media.

The undefeated UFC star should face Adesanya for the Middleweight title soon. However, the fight hasn’t been given a location or date yet.

That hasn’t stopped Borrachinha from taking shots at Adesanya, and he did so again. This time, he used an old clipping of Adesanya during the weigh-in at UFC Fight Night: Dustin Poirier vs Justin Gaethje.

Stylebender needed some help ripping his shirt and had to use a pair of scissors. While many have ripped their shirts unaided, Adesanya couldn’t. That was something that Costa picked up on and hit out at the champion on Twitter:

Borrachinha added that Adesanya was shaming the division and also sarcastically claimed the champ was “awesome super powerful”.

Adesanya, however, deserves some credit at least. The 30-year-old is also undefeated in his UFC career and holds a 19-0 MMA record.

Costa vs Adesanya should be an incredible clash as the Brazilian is a heavy-hitter. However, the Brazilian has another target on his mind.

The Middleweight title contender also another champion in his sights. Costa took another shot at Jon Jones a few hours back and claimed he would defeat Bones after getting the better of Adesanya.

Costa seems keen on a fight and hopefully, the UFC can finalise Adesanya vs Costa as quickly as possible.

The Brazilian also warned Jones to remain retired recently. Jones vacated his Light Heavyweight title after failing to land a fight with Francis Ngannou.

The UFC and Jones couldn’t come to financial terms regarding this clash. However, it will be interesting to see if Jones is willing to fight either of the Middleweights.

Adesanya and Jones have been involved in a war of words too, and that clash would be amazing too if it happens.
