Paulo Costa uses Dillon Danis’ template UFC pay-per-view tweet to mock the American

Before every pay-per-view event controversial MMA figure Dillon Danis posts a tweet encouraging his fans to follow him by offering them some cash if a certain fighter wins the main event. At UFC 281, he offered a lucky fan $2000 if Israel Adesanya defeated Alex Pereira.

Dillon Danis, who hasn’t fought in years, took to Twitter to make an offer to fans claiming that he would be giving away $2000 to one of his fans who liked his Tweet if Periera beats Adesanya this weekend.

Here is what Danis had to say: “If Alex Pereira beats Israel Adesanya l’Il give one person who likes this tweet $2,000
Must be following to win! @dillondanis”

UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa, who has his own fair share of history with Adesanya, took to Twitter to offer his fans money, but with a subliminal dig aimed at Danis. He wrote:

“If Israel Adesanya knocks out Alex Pereira I will give one person who doesn’t follow Dillon Danis $2000.
Must be following

In January last year, the Cameroonian star defended his UFC heavyweight title against Cyril Gane, but he hasn’t competed since then since he and the promotion were unable to reach an agreement on a new contract. After giving up his title, he is now a free agent who is exploring his options, some of which include going to the boxing ring.

Ngannou has been in negotiations with a variety of promotions and has been fielding a plethora of offers, including one from the bare-knuckle boxing outfit BKFC. In addition, UFC middleweight Paulo Costa, who has reportedly signed a new contract with the UFC, has expressed interest in fighting Ngannou in his debut bout for BKFC.

The Brazilian took aim at Ngannou through Twitter under strange circumstances, writing:

“Hey Francis (Ngannou) I heard you’re looking for a boxer opponent. If you prefer I can put my gloves off too. It’s up to you big brother.”
