Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa are unbeaten in their MMA careers so far
Israel Adesanya vs Paulo Costa is one of the biggest fights the UFC can schedule. Adesanya is the current UFC Middleweight Champion while Costa is the next challenger in line.
The pair have been going at it on social media recently with Costa launching several attacks on the Stylebender.
Adesanya, for his part, has spoken about fighting Costa next and how he will get the better of the Brazilian.
While there is no set date for the pair to meet, Ariel Helwani was on ESPN and claimed that the pair could meet in “September/October”.
Helwani also claimed that this was going to be a PPV event, and they wanted to host in at Fight Island in July. However, Adesanya claimed this was a little too soon for him but there is something special in this fight.
Helwani added that this is only the second time in UFC history when two undefeated male fighters are going for the title.
The last time such an event took place was at UFC 98 when Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans fought.
That fight was the Light Heavyweight title and it was Machida who came out on top.

Two of the best go head to head
Adesanya currently holds 19 wins in his MMA career and won the title from Robert Whittaker at UFC 243. He defended the title against Yoel Romero while Costa was in attendance.
The Brazilian, for his part, holds a record of 13 wins and no losses. He also has 11 wins via knockout and one by submission in his MMA career.
Adesanya vs Costa is one of the biggest rivalries in the UFC and hopefully, they can schedule the fight soon.
September or October is still a few months away, and that gives Costa and Adesanya to keep the rivalry going.
