Justin Gaethje faces Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254 but had a lot of praise for the Korean Zombie

Justin Gaethje faces the biggest hurdle in his UFC career as he takes on Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254.

This is for the undisputed UFC Lightweight title with Khabib being undefeated in his MMA career. Gaethje last defeated Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 to book his place in this clash.

Gaethje dominated Ferguson to win the interim Lightweight title but threw it away instantly as he wanted the real thing.

Khabib will be back in the Octagon seeking his 29th straight MMA win but will be without his father, Abdulmanap.

The senior Nurmagomedov passed away fighting Covid-19 and it will be interesting to see how this clash goes.

Zombie still going on

Gaethje already is at Fight Island and praised the Korean Zombie as the pair met. The Zombie was in action against Brian Ortega and it was his rival who got the win.

The Zombie tried his best to get the win but was tagged several times and he showed off his facial injuries in the photo.

Gaethje claimed he loved Jung’s character and heart and the pair posed for the cameras.

The Zombie might have been beaten on the night by Ortega but he was magnanimous in defeat. That could have been one reason why Gaethje posted the picture especially with Ortega and Jung embracing after the fight.

The South Korean is one of the biggest names in the UFC and has a large fan following. While he failed to capture gold in the past, his fan base hasn’t dwindled one bit.

Gaethje too is one of the biggest names in the promotion and it will be interesting to see how he fares up to Khabib.

Herb Dean is considered as the best MMA and UFC referee

This should be a spectacular clash, and could be one of the fights of the year. Many believe that Gaethje will dethrone Khabib and end his unbeaten run.
