Katlyn Chookagian faces Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Island this weekend

UFC star Katlyn Chookagian was taking in some rays in Abu Dhabi ahead of her much-anticipated clash against Jessica Andrade.

The 31-year-old is coming off an impressive win over Antonina Shevchenko in her last fight. However, Chookagian’s hopes of winning the UFC Flyweight title went up in smoke after the legendary, Valentina Shevchenko, defeated her at UFC 247.

Chookagian is still ranked as the #1 Flyweight in the UFC and a win over Andrade could put her back in the title scene.

However, things aren’t easy for the UFC stars as they travel to Abu Dhabi. They have to take several tests and need to undergo quarantine before being let out.

There is some light at the end of the tunnel as the amenities at Fight Island are some of the best ever and the beach does provide some great views.

Chookagian posted all that she had to go through before reaching Fight Island, and she posted a picture of the beach too:

Andrade vs Chookagian should be a cracker of a fight and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Andrade, however, is coming off consecutive losses in the Strawweight division. The Brazilian also lost the Strawweight title to Zhang Weili and is moving up to the Flyweight division in this clash.

The 29-year-old holds a 20-8 record in MMA while Chookagian holds an MMA record of 14 wins and three losses.

Chookagian is one of the best in the Flyweight division and holds a few records too. The American is tied with Valentina and Gillian Robertson for the most wins in the UFC Women’s Flyweight division.

She also is tied with Robertson and Roxanne Modafferi for most fights in this division.
