Kay Hansen is going through her weight cut but hasn’t lost her sense of humour
UFC star Kay Hansen would be looking to impress in her second outing for the promotion as she fights Cory McKenna next.
McKenna is a newcomer to the promotion and she too would be looking to do her best. However, Hansen won her debut fight in the UFC by defeating Jinh Yu Frey and would be looking to do the same to her rival.
The 21-year-old also has a great sense of humour and took a shot at herself with regards to her weight cut.
All MMA stars go through a gruelling phase before their fights to weigh the right amount. Many of them go into saunas to reduce those extra kgs in a day or two while others also have to watch what they eat.
Hansen was also wrapped up in blankets and shared a hilarious take on all this:
“Looking like a snack…. or a chipotle burrito.”
Hansen also spoke before her battle and opened up about her artistic side. The American claimed that she had stopped her artwork while concentrating on her MMA career. However, her love for art rekindled during the Coronavirus pandemic and when there weren’t any fights in the promotion.
Hansen also spoke about how fighting in the Octagon and her painting was art, and that this opposite to the aggression she had to show in her fights.
Hansen was a bright student during her earlier years but gave up on that to pursue her career in fighting.
So far, she has done a pretty good job with a record of seven wins and three losses. The 21-year-old is on a three-fight win streak, and it will be interesting to see how she does on Saturday against a UFC debutant.
