Felicia Spencer picked up a nasty looking forehead injury against Amanda Nunes at UFC 250
The main event of UFC 250 saw Felicia Spencer pick up a brutal forehead injury against one of the best ever in Amanda Nunes.
This featherweight fight went to the fifth round but it was Nunes who dominated her opponent. The Brazilian is one of the greatest of all-time and put in a flurry on punches on her Canadian opponent.
The head injury to the UFC fighter took place at the end of the fourth round. Nunes had already caught her in a chokehold and put in several punches. When the horn sounded at the end of the round, the damage could be seen.
Spencer had a haematoma on her forehead and the doctors had to work a lot on her. The Canadian is a former Featherweight champion at Invicta and had three fights in the UFC before this clash.

Herb Dean did call for the doctors in the fifth round as Spencer was bleeding a lot. However, Spencer kept on going and proved how tough she is in the Octagon.
This was pretty similar to the injury that Joanna Jedrzejczyk picked up against Zhang Weili at UFC 248.
The greatest ever?
Nunes is a champion in two-divisions and holds both belts at the same time. The Brazilian has been nearly untouchable since coming to the UFC, and many believe she is the greatest women fighter.
There have been conversations of her being the best ever in MMA history too, and she is doing her bit in the UFC.
Nunes also showed off her class at the end of the fight as she handed her belt to Spencer as a mark of respect.
The champion also landed 120 significant strikes during this five-round fight. Nunes was dominant and could have gone another five rounds too. It will be interesting to see who is her next rival as Nunes keeps increasing her stock in the UFC.
