Tracy Cortez has put in a lot of work in training ahead of her next fight against Stephanie Egger
UFC sees its latest Fight Night event held in Fight Island and Tracy Cortez vs Stephanie Egger is one of the fights on the card.
Cortez was expected to face Bea Malecki on October 11, however, that was changed and she is to face newcomer Egger.
Egger has a 5-1 MMA record but this is going to be her UFC debut. The Swiss star signed a UFC contract a few days back but she will have her hands full with Cortez.
The 26-year-old Cortez is one of the rising stars in the UFC and holds an impressive 8-1 record in her MMA career.
Cortez lost her first MMA bout but has won every other fight, and she should be the favourite for this.
However, she isn’t taking this fight lightly and confirmed there were some nerves already. The American, however, loved this feeling and shared some incredible training pictures too:
I’ll be lying if I said I didn’t have nerves going through my body… but what a beautiful feeling it is to feel ✨ I love this shit!

Looking in great shape
Cortez certainly seems to be putting in a lot of work as she seeks her ninth straight MMA win. The 26-year-old also shared some pictures with the Spanish UFC handle while she was seen training on the Abu Dhabi beach too.

The 26-year-old fights in the Bantamweight division and last defeated Vanessa Melo via unanimous decision. In fact, the only split decision of her career came against Erin Blanchfield but she moved to the UFC after that.
The latest Fight Night event has just one women’s fight with Cortez battling Egger on the prelim card. It could be a cracker of a fight and follow up that impressive card last week where Holly Holm defeated Irene Aldana in the main event.
