”Pull up”, ”Strapped bro” – Nate Diaz’s latest tweet sparks a Twitter riot

UFC welterweight fighter Nate Diaz expressed his willingness to fight on July 30th at UFC 277

UFC superstar Nate Diaz was seemingly pumped after the UFC 274 card, and released a series of tweets that ranged from blatant insults, to fired up callout for a fight.

The ‘Stockton Slugger’ has been sidelined since UFC 263 last year, and is raring to go after a break of one entire year. In the process, he has called out Vicente Luque, and most noticeably Dustin Poirier in the recent past. However, UFC president Dana White has reinstated that they are not looking forward to setting up that fight, and has other plans for Diaz- Khamzat Chimaev among them.

Diaz posted a tweet saying, ‘ July 30th 170lbs’

Dustin Poirier was quick to jump on to the brigade as he replied to Diaz saying, ‘Pull up’

UFC superstar Conor Mcgregor also joined the conversation, after he went after Diaz for saying that he does not want to fight the injured Irish fighter. He responded to a Diaz fan page reply by saying , ‘ Strapped bro. Sig sour jellies 🔫’

Nate Diaz has been importuning the UFC for a fight against Dustin Poirier- a fight that in most likelihood will be his last in the company. Diaz has some major plans outside the company, details of which are still unknown. If experts are to be believed, the UFC top brass does not want to book Diaz in a fight in which he has a significant or even slight advantage over his opponent.

On a recent episode of the Pivot podcast, Dana White serendipitously gave fans a bit better look at just what the UFC has in mind. Notably, a series of mock-up fight cards at UFC offices—which include a planned middleweight title fight between champ Israel Adesanya and top contender Jared Cannonier, along with the return of Khamzat Chimaev against none other than Nate Diaz.

This is the second time the UFC has tried to book this fight, since Diaz turned down the fight last time stating that the Chechen hasn’t fought elite competition yet. If the rumors are true. Chimaev caught Diaz’s attention with his showing against Gilbert Burns.

Although none of these plans are concrete or have been set in motion yet, the prospect of Diaz’s return against a young upcoming warrior has garnered mixed reactions.
