Rachael Ostovich predicted Justin Gaethje would be able to defeat Khabib Nurmagomedov

Justin Gaethje vs Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the most anticipated clashes in the UFC.

The pair are scheduled to meet at UFC 254 with the Lightweight title on the line. Khabib holds the belt while Gaethje is the interim champion.

Gaethje has been great since losing to Dustin Poirier and put on a show to beat Tony Ferguson. Khabib doesn’t need to be discussed as the champion is 28-0 in his MMA career.

However, many believe that Gaethje could be a real challenge for the champion. Ostovich was asked to predict this fight and the UFC star backed her former Ultimate Fighter coach to win:

“You know, I am team Gaethje all the way. I think Khabib might meet his match, you know, wrestling. “They are both great wrestlers, both crazy fighters. Justin is super entertaining, you just never know.

“So, I am definitely leaning for Gaethje.”

It will be interesting to see how things go in this fight as it pits two of the best in the promotion.

Ostovich is also set to be in action soon and spoke about her next fight with Helen Yee.

Surprised at the opponent

The UFC star faces Gina Mazany and was taken aback since her rival normally fought in an upper weight class.

Ostovich believed that Mazany would have a problem coming down to the Flyweight division. However, she was only concentrating on her training and expected a great fight against Mazany.

She also shared plans about starting a cosmetics line and was hoping that some of the products could be launched before her next fight.

Ostovich is coming into this clash on a two-fight losing streak. She is currently 4-5 in her MMA career and it will be interesting to see how things go with Mazany.

Ostovich’s previous opponent was Paige VanZant but she has joined the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. While Ostovich hoped that VanZant wouldn’t be hurt too much in that promotion, she wished her formal rival the best ahead of her upcoming debut.
