Rachael Ostovich didn’t have a great outing against Gina Mazany and suffered an injury to her lip as well

UFC star Gina Mazany picked up an impressive win over Rachael Ostovich in the latest Fight Night event.

Ostovich was coming in with a two-fight losing streak and this was her third defeat on the bounce. While Mazany celebrated the win after some body kicks which floored her rival, Ostovich also had some impressive moments in the battle.

The 29-year-old UFC Flyweight caught the attention of many with a slick move on the mat. She seemed to be in a bit of trouble before quickly flipping on the mat and getting control of her rival.

That dexterity also impressed the commentators on show but there wasn’t a lot for her to celebrate in this outing.

Ostovich might be in a bit of a slide but that hasn’t hurt her confidence. She quickly posted an update on her Instagram stories and thanked those who supported her.

The 28-year-old also showed off some facial injuries with her lip getting bruised a lot. She, however, claimed this was just a hiccup on her journey and added she would be back soon.

Ostovich now is 4-6 in her MMA career and it will be interesting to see how things go for her now. Her last win the UFC came three years ago and it seems she needs to go back to the drawing board a bit.

Mazany, for her part, had lost her last fight to Julia Avila but is now back in the win column. The Danger moves to 7-4 in her MMA career and this was also her debut in the Flyweight division. She has fought in various divisions in her career and it will be interesting to see if she sticks to this one.
