UFC fighters Rafael Dos Anjos and Dan Hooker went back and forth on Twitter after the Brazilian put out a tweet calling out fighters to step up and fight him
Rafael Dos Anjos has been on a positive trajectory after his recent performances, which reminded fans that he still has a lot of fight left in the gas tank. Anjos is currently working up the ladder to eventually fight for the title sometime soon, before he calls it quits.
Former UFC welterweight title contender and current lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos is a legend of the sport himself, and has fought the biggest names in the lightweight and welterweight division, and is one of those fighters who aren’t afraid to fight anyone. He posted a fight calling out fighters to step and fight him in July or August.
Former lightweight fighter and City Kickboxing athlete Dan Hooker was quick to respond to it, and said, ‘Smash ya face in. 🕺’
Dos Anjos mocks Dan Hooker’s callout by reminding him of his previous fights
Dos Anjos immediately reacted to Hooker’s callout by reminding him of his current slump and suggesting that he is looking for some viable competition at this point. The Brazilian has been in formidable form, and a fight against Hooker does not interest him.
Hooker on the other hand returned to featherweight at UFC London, but had his plans spoiled by Arnold Allen. In calling out Anjos, the ‘Kiwi’ is suggesting a potential return to lightweight.
Dos Anjos replied by saying, ‘I’m coming of 2 win and you 2 losses, gotta be kidding me 🤦🏻♂️’
