Rafael dos Anjos wants a piece of his old foe, Conor McGregor
Rafael dos Anjos was at the UFC 264 weigh-ins. He will be the backup fighter for the much-anticipated trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
The former lightweight champion, came in at the stipulated successfully and had a backstage altercation with his old rival Conor McGregor.
A day before, McGregor had posted a tweet claiming that he would fight both dos Anjos and Poirier at the same time, inside the Octagon.
His tweet came in the wake of rumors afloat that dos Anjos would be the backup fighter for his fight against Poirier, which later turned out to be true.
Following McGregor’s tweet, dos Anjos hit back at McGregor, calling him an alcoholic.
And now, he has taken another shot at McGregor, calling him a snake and expressing his desire to fight the Irishman someday.
dos Anjos tweeted:
“Conor you’re such a snake, sneaking from behind and playing tough. Soon or later we will finish business. I’m not like the guys you play around with.”
Conor McGregor sounds off a grave warning to Dustin Poirier at the ceremonial weigh-ins
Following the ceremonial weigh-ins, McGregor warned Poirier that he would be dead inside the Octagon, on the day of the fight.
A raging McGregor told Joe Rogan (while addressing Poirier):
“Joe, In 16 hours’ time, this man is going to learn, that if you disrespect a person’s kindness and take it as a weakness, you must pay. Tomorrow night I’m going to make this man pay with his life and I mean it. You’re dead in that Octagon tomorrow night.”
