Rafael Dos Anjos expressed that he is not a fan of Jorge Masvidal’s behavior and suggested that the Miami native should be stripped off his ‘BMF’ belt
The MMA community has been divided ever since reports of Jorge Masvidal attacking Colby Covington at a restaurant in Miami first emerged. While some grievously condemned Jorge’s actions suggesting that he had 25 minutes at UFC 272 to do some damage, others are of the opinion that these are the repercussions of Colby’s disrespectful and insolent behavior over time.
Former UFC welterweight title contender and current lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos gave some sticks to Jorge Masvidal’s conduct outside the octagon. He even said that he is not an admirer of Masvidal’s street behavior and approach to punch Colby from behind.
Dos Anjos, a legend of the sport himself has fought the biggest names in the lightweight and welterweight division, and is one of those fighters who isn’t afraid to fight anyone.
He suggested that Jorge should be stripped of his ‘BMF’ title that he won against Nate Diaz at UFC 244. He put out a tweet saying, ‘ You’re either a BMF or you’re a sucker puncher. Can’t be both. @danawhite time to hand that belt to me’
Dos Anjos has fought the who’s who of the roaster and been in multiple wars throughout his career, which justifies his case for the ‘BMF’ tag according to him.
Former UFC light heavyweight contender Corey Anderson has expressed his views on the matter, deprecating Colby’s approach towards building a brand, and hysterically mocks him.
The ‘Overtime’ has called Colby the ‘GOAT’ of keyboard warriors, and suggested that the Oregon born fighter should stick to just fighting.
He put out a tweet saying, ‘ Colby is the keyboard warriors ‘goat’! Only fighter I know that will talk that much trash on camera but runs to hide and call the cops each time he’s confronted…. that’s the THIRD time! Just stick to fighting in the cage and stop talking in the streets. #Covington #masvidal‘
