Kurt Angle and Henry Cejudo are both Olympic gold medal winners

Former WWE star Kurt Angle came out to praise Henry Cejudo ahead of UFC 249.

Cejudo is a two-division UFC champion and is currently holding the Bantamweight title. He gave up the Flyweight one to concentrate on this division and faces Dominick Cruz at UFC 249.

For all of Cejudo’s brilliance in the field of wrestling and MMA, he has been a divisive figure. Many have hit out at his antics and over the top act, but Angle came to the rescue of the American.

The WWE legend said that Cejudo had more haters simply because he had more gold. Angle also said that Cejudo did not “suck” which is a play on the ‘You Suck’ chants the WWE star was hurled with during his time in the wrestling business.

Cejudo getting recognised by possibly one of the greatest WWE and Olympic athletes is something, and that got Ali Abdelaziz talking.

Abdelaziz is the manager of Cejudo and has always spoken highly on his client. The Egyptian has a pretty good list of stars under his services with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje just two of the others signed up.

A big test for Triple C

Cejudo is called the Triple C for being a triple champion, but his clash against Cruz is an interesting one.

Cruz is a former Bantamweight champion, but he has been out of action for three years. However, Cruz returned from a similar break and took the title in the past.

The American is regarded as one of the best in the UFC and he comes into this fight as the favourite.

Cruz has his work cut out for him, and it will be interesting to see how this clash goes.
