WWE star Renee Young is an avid UFC follower and reacted to the Israel Adesanya vs Yoel Romero UFC 248 bout.
The pair were fighting for the Middleweight title as Adesanya tried to defend his crown. Romero came into the clash trash-talking a lot and is one of the most dangerous men in the UFC.
However, the UFC 248 fight fell flat with both men playing a cautious game. The first two rounds were shocking, to say the least.
Romero guarded up and wanted Adesanya to make the first moves. However, the Stylebender decided not to engage and hit Romero a few times.
The fourth and fifth rounds were a little better but the referee had to come in and tell the fighters to engage too.
Tempers did flare up after the match as the crowd was constantly booing the pair, but they took a shot at Adesanya.
The Nigerian/New Zealand star did what he had to do to keep the title while Romero should have done more to win the crown.
Young was excited for the clash as she tweeted Adesanya and his acrobatics before the fight began.
However, she was left shocked and confused about what happened in the UFC 248 fight.
Some of Young’s fans also didn’t quite understand what had happened in the shocking fight as Adesanya kept hold of his title.
Young also had something to say for the co-main event of the evening. Joanna Jedrzejczyk fought tooth and nail against Zhang Weili for the Women’s Strawweight title.
Both women had a go at each other, and Joanna was left with a horrible looking swelling on her forehead.
Zhang was also tagged several times by the former champion, and this fight lasted all five rounds.
This was a much better fight that the Adesanya vs Romero one, and Young didn’t know how to call it.
It still was Zhang who defended her title but both women deserve credit for the clash. The Pole could have won this fight too, and it will be interesting to see if they face each other in the future.
