Conor McGregor was left with a broken leg during his loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264
Conor McGregor’s quest for revenge in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier (at UFC 264) ended in disappointment after he suffered a broken leg at the very end of round 1.
After a brief check from the Octagon officials, the fight was waved off by the referee and was awarded to Poirier (by means of TKO due to doctor stoppage).
McGregor was irate and helpless, even as he hurled angry words at Poirier and his wife Jolie.
His choice of words during his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan was also criticized. Rogan was critiqued as well – for interviewing in the first place.
In a new video titled thrill and agony, a new footage shows McGregor shouting “I been dealing with it the whole cap”, referencing his troublesome ankle which had tendencies of cracking pretty easily.
McGregor can be seen saying:
“I been dealing with it the whole camp, I been dealing with it the whole camp. I didn’t think nothing was going to happen though. I had him there.”
Jake Paul believes it’s over for Conor McGregor
Jake Paul, who is set to take on Tyron Woodley on the 29th of August, this year, weighed in on Conor McGregor’s current fight scenario.
‘The Problem Child’ claimed that The Irishman’s career is on a downward spiral and hence would fizzle out soon.
Paul told Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie:
“It’s not even that he’s being disrespectful, he just looks dumb with the sh*t that he’s saying. Threatening to kill people and then he’s out partying, back to drinking, hitting the clubs in L.A. I don’t know, man. I think it’s over for him and I don’t think his ego can maybe accept that.” [via MMA Junkie]
