UFC Women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas looked a lot different when she had hair
Rose Namajunas is one of the greatest women’s strawweights of all time. The 29-year old is currently the women’s strawweight champion in her second reign.
She made her UFC debut on the 12th of December, 2014 against Carla Esparza at the Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned Finale.
Three years into her debut, at UFC 217 Namajunas won the strawweight title for the first time. Her second reign came in the year 2021, at UFC 261.
Off court, her hairdo has been a talking point as well. ‘Thug Rose’ had golden locks when she first joined the promotion.
Just a year into her debut she had it chopped off, and debuted her almost-bald look against Paige VanZant in December 2015.
She sports the same look even today. In fact she has even lesser hair now.
Throwback to when Rose Namajunas revealed why she cut her hair
Rose Namajunas sporting a near-bald look for the first time in 2015 had the MMA world talking.
Back then, she took to social media to reveal why she decided to cut her hair.
‘Thug Rose’ revealed:
“It’s a fight not a beauty pageant. S**t’s in my way at practice… Cut it off!”
