Sean Brady made big strides in the latest UFC rankings update
Sean Brady has been soaring in the UFC. The 29-year old recently beat veteran Michael Chiesa in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Vieira vs Tate.
Brady outstruck ‘Maverick’ to record the fifth-successive win in his UFC career. He is still undefeated in his MMA career as well, with his record reading 15 wins and 0 losses.
With his name getting more attention than ever, Brady has also moved 6 places in the latest UFC rankings update following last week’s Fight Night.
He had come into the fight ranked number 14, and now sits at number 8. A massive leap for the Philadelphian.
The welterweight division has been bustling of late. Here is the latest welterweight division UFC rankings table:
Sean Brady goes past Khamzat Chimaev
Sean Brady also went past another rising welterweight in Khamzat Chimaev. ‘The Borz,’ who returned to the Octagon after a struggle with COVID-19, took apart Li Jingliang (previously ranked number 11), in the very first round of the fight.
Following the win, Chimaev broke into the top of the welterweight rankings. Now, due to Brady’s surge, he has been pushed back a place.
Talks of a possible fight between Chimaev and Brady have been rife as well. Chimaev himself recently called Brady out on Twitter.
He wrote:
“I want to fight this guy let’s fight bro.”
