Up and coming UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley shared his prediction for Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3
Sean O’Malley is one of the fast-rising stars in the UFC. The bantamweight has an impressive record of 13 wins and just one loss in his MMA career.
Next weekend at UFC 264 he will be sharing the main card with someone he looks up to – Conor McGregor. O’Malley’s fight against Kris Moutinho kicks off the UFC 264 main card.
The card is headlined by the trilogy bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. The winner of the fight will be fighting for the lightweight title against Charles Oliveira next.
With only a week left for the fight, O’Malley recently appeared on UFC’s ranked and gave his list of the must-watch fighters. And of course, the Irishman, McGregor was on the list.
O’Malley called McGregor to be the most exciting fighter who always got him pumped up whenever he featured in a fight week.
‘Sugar’ was quoted as saying:
“You gotta go with Conor, he’s the most exciting. If Conor’s fighting, I’m excited about fight week.”
In a recent interview with Helen Yee, O’Malley gave his prediction for the McGregor-Poirier trilogy fight.
O’Malley claimed that he doesn’t see any lack of motivation in McGregor and hoped that he would beat Poirier this time around.
O’Malley told Helen Yee:
“Conor looked good in that fight. He looked fast, focused and sharp. Dustin was landing the bigger shot and put his lights out. I don’t think there is a lack of motivation from Conor, he looked good going into that fight. I am a big fan of both of them…You know, I’d like to see Conor win.”
