Bantamweight star Sean O’Malley predicts a perfect day at the office at UFC 276 against Pedro Munhoz

The biggest criticism Sean O’Malley has faced so far in his career is the lack of top-ranked contenders in his resume. These talks are coming to a standstill as his fight against top-ranked bantamweight Pedro Munhoz is edging near.

O’Malley has elaborate plans for this year, and wants to step up the ladder closer to a title shot. He had previously stated that two more victories against top contenders will put him right into the conversation of the title picture. Speaking with Ariel Helwani, he said, “Two more finishes, early 2023 I’m fighting for the belt, whoever has it. I think after this fight I go out there, I gotta finish Pedro [Munoz]. And I go out there, say I finish Pedro, I get a top five guy, whoever that is. Depending on if [Marlon] ‘Chito’ [Vera] gets a fight booked, I know that’s a fight that I want.”

‘Suga’ has only lost one fight in his career, however he has no doubt in his mind that he’s undefeated. O’Malley has stated that he looks to incorporate what middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is doing with his style, and looks to incorporate the same staying out of range, maintaining distance stance in his fights.

He offered a prediction for his upcoming fight on UFC 276 with a tweet which said, ‘Finishing Pedro July 2nd’

“I could knock his a** out” – Sean O’Malley predicts the outcome of a future fight between him and Gervonta Davis

Boxing superstars Gervonta Davis and Rolando Romero clashed this weekend for the WBA lightweight championship in the world. Davis and Romero went back and forth leading up to the fight, while Davis even resorted to shoving Romero at the ceremonial weigh-ins.

Romero was the aggressor between the two for six rounds, pawing with his jab and establishing comfortable range early on. Romero fought an extremely disciplined fight, slipping counters and staying away from Davis’ power hand.

Romero got too comfortable with his range, and felt like he had the right moment to amp up his attack in the sixth round. He cut Davis to the ropes and looked to unload with powerful combinations from the middle. He walked in too deep in the range of Davis who calmly let loose with a left-hand counter that caught Romero clean and sent him face-first into the ropes before sliding down to the canvas.

Sean O’Malley is all set to face Pedro Munhoz on July 2nd. Sean is one of the most elite strikers in the game today with stacks of weapons in his arsenal. In the latest episode of the TimboSugarShow, O’Malley reacted to Gervonta’s recent performance. ‘Suga’ said that he sees himself sharing the boxing ring with Davis maybe five years down the line, and offered a prediction for their fight.

“The fight’s happening though, me vs Gervonta in five years. I swear… I could knock his a** out. I really believe that… [At] 135, I’d KO him,” said Sean O’Malley.
