Sean O’Malley had one of the greatest knockouts in UFC history at UFC 250

UFC 250 had two brilliant knockouts coming from Sean O’Malley and Cody Garbrandt. O’Malley has become a knockout expert since coming to the UFC and the 25-year-old is unbeaten in his MMA career too.

The American is one of the most exciting talents in the business and recently spoke about UFC 250 on his YouTube channel.

O’Malley produced a walk-off knockout, which was talked about for a long time even after UFC 250. However, the Bantamweight star wasn’t all that happy with his KO.

O’Malley tried a spinning heel kick early in the match and suggested he wanted something like that as a viral knockout.

The 25-year-old was happy he got a viral KO, but it wasn’t the kind of KO he was looking for:

“I really wanted a spinning finish. I did a bunch of interviews before saying I wanted a viral knockout.

“I think I got that, but I really wanted a spinning knockout so bad.”

However, O’Malley went on to say that this was the perfect fight for him and suggested this was a second such fight for him in a row.

Bantamweights shine at UFC 250

O’Malley and Garbrandt weren’t the only ones who shone at UFC 250. Aljamain Sterling also did a tremendous job against Cory Sandhagen and got his rival to submit in their clash.

O’Malley had tipped Sandhagen to get the win but also suggested that Sterling could come out on top in the clash.

The Bantamweight division is currently stacked with quality fighters, and it will be interesting to see what match-ups UFC have planned next.

The division doesn’t have a champion after Henry Cejudo retired from the UFC. However, there are several stars waiting in the wings to pick up the gold.
