UFC middleweight Sean Strickland had a suggestion for a probable boxing clash between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury
With UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou’s UFC contract facing massive uncertainty, talks of him crossing over to box Tyson Fury have been rife.
The Cameroonian’s recent title defense against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270, once again opened the floodgates for the Ngannou-Fury fight talks – the primary reason being UFC President Dana White not entering the Octagon to hand the heavyweight belt to the ‘Predator.’
Elsewhere, UFC middleweight Sean Strickland weighed in on the possible matchup. He had a suggestion in mind. Mentioning that Fury beats Ngannou in a Boxing match and Ngannou in MMA, Strickland stated that the pair should fight in bare-knuckle rules.
He tweeted:
“Tyson fury beats Francious in a boxing match without a doubt. Francious kills Tyson in a fight. Literally takes his life….. They should do 4 ounce gloves with bare knucke rules. That’s the middle ground…’
Number 7 ranked middleweight Sean Strickland will be headlining UFC Vegas 47 next weekend. He will be taking on number 6 ranked Jack Hermansson.
Strickland is coming off a unanimous decision win against Uriah Hall at UFC on ESPN: Hall vs Strickland. He is currently on a five-fight winning streak.
Hermansson, meanwhile got back to winning ways after beating Edmen Shahbazyan via. unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Font vs Garbrandt in May 2021.
