Most recently he spoke about his dislike for Ronda Rousey. According to the American, the former bantamweight champion vocalized her suicidal tendencies on the Ellen Show. She felt these strong feelings after losing her belt to Holly Holm at UFC 193.

Since then, Rousey has only fought once, and lost to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 by knockout in the very first round. She transitioned to professional wrestling after the loss and has been a mainstay in the WWE.

Speaking about Rousey’s comments, Strickland believes that it is part her fault why so many young people feel suicidal in today’s time.

“I explained why I hate Ronda Rousey, why I find she is everything that’s wrong with the fu**ing world. She was on the news, it was fucking everywhere. I don’t know when suicide became cool but it became cool, like they made a Netflix show ‘13 Reasons.’ Everybody’s fuc**ng depressed, everybody is suicidal, and let me fuc***g tell you guys, it is not fuc**ng cool. Depression is like cancer, it’s fuc**ng terminal. It’s like herpes, you might not have it but you always fuc**ng have it and it’s waiting to fuc**ng come out.”

“Suicidal thoughts, for the people who have it, it’s even fu**ing worse. You fixate on it, you dwell on it. You start thinking about how you’re gonna do it. You start thinking about where you’re gonna do it. You start think about how your people are gonna take it. You really fantasize about it and it’s fuc***g miserable. It’s not a fleeting thought because you lost a fight. And I hate Ronda Rousey because she used something so fu**ed up and so serious as a ‘but I overcame it’ strong moment, when it’s fu**ing not.”

What did Ronda Rousey say during her appearance on The Ellen Show?

Ronda Rousey was undefeated in 11 fights with 10 first-round victories before she succumbed to her first loss to Holly Holm. She never looked the same since. Rousey is widely regarded as a pioneering figure in women’s MMA.

Despite her accolades inside the octagon she has been subject to harsh and unfair criticism for her confident personality. The loss came at a bad time for the American and she felt like the world slipped away from her. She spiralled into suicidal thoughts and shared her experience during her appearance on the Ellen Show:

“To be honest, I was down in the medical room in the corner and I was like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?’ I was literally sitting there, thinking about killing myself. In the exact second, I was like, ‘I’m nothing, what am I going to do anymore? No one gives a shit about me without this.’ To be honest, I looked up and saw my man, Travis, and thought, ‘I need to have his babies, I need to stay alive.’ I haven’t told anyone that except him. That’s what I was thinking.”
