UFC commentator Joe Rogan had a lot of great things to say about Joanna Jedrzejczyk and the UFC 248 title fight.
Joanna was up against Women’s Strawweight champion Zhang Weili and both women put on a show.
The 5-round bout will go down as one of the best in the history of MMA. Jedrzejczyk kept on fighting even though her forehead was swollen and she was barely recognisable.
Rogan was speaking on his show, and highlighted just how tough the Polish star is:
“She’s so tough. That lady is as tough as human beings can possibly be.
“She never even flinched, her f****** forehead’s twice the size of normal, she didn’t even flinch. Kept throwing bombs, she is amazing.”
Rogan also went on to describe the fight in one perfect word:
“25 whole minutes of chaos. The whole fight was back and forth, back and forth, it was amazing!”.
Zhang and Joanna have confirmed that they are open to a rematch, however, both need some time to recover from the incredible battle.
Jedrzejczyk will undergo surgery to fix an ear problem soon, and revealed that her injuries have more or less healed.
The commentator also took offence to the UFC asking him to put on make-up. Rogan claimed that people were fighting inside the Octagon and he would not go next to someone after a battle with make-up on:
“Crazy, epic, one of the best fights in history. At the end of it, Joanna’s head was so swollen, like a Frankenstein forehead.
“Imagine, me, standing next to her with makeup on. I refuse.”
Rogan is one of the most outspoken people in the UFC, and it is right that he doesn’t put on make-up.
The UFC also recently added that their fights will go on as expected, but fans will be barred from events.
This measure is being taken up due to the coronavirus, and fights could be shifted the UFC Apex to keep all stakeholders safe from the virus.
