Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor decided to have a go on Twitter after the UFC 249 press conference.
Khabib faces Tony Ferguson in a month’s time and a lot was said between the fighters recently.
The challenger, Ferguson, claimed he would beat Khabib while the Russian was unimpressed with some comments.
Ferguson claimed he would beat Khabib in a street fight, and the Russian claimed the American had never been in one.
That was also one reason why Khabib got upset at the press conference and kicked Ferguson’s belt off the stage.
This set up the rivalry for UFC 249, but there was one onlooker that enjoyed the show. McGregor is expected to fight the winner of UFC 249, and he certainly took offence to the ‘street fight’ comments by Khabib.
The Irishman shared a couple of photos which didn’t show Khabib, and his team, in the right light.
The UFC Lightweight champion didn’t take things lightly and first shared an image from UFC 229.
Khabib dominated the Irishman in that fight and ended up winning that easily. McGregor was in trouble throughout that clash, and the Russian shared an image from that with the caption “Heeelp”:
Khabib also shared a clipping of McGregor where he punched an old man in an Irish pub. The Russian also told McGregor to show that to his son:
The rivalry between them is brewing again, and the second fight between the pair would be great.
However, McGregor could end up facing Ferguson. The American is a dangerous man in the Octagon, and Khabib cannot take him lightly.
Ferguson is one of the best in the Octagon already and could take advantage of this situation.
