The UFC decided to play out an exchange between Eminem and Dana White and it just didn’t click
The UFC has had tie ups with many top stars over the years and one surprise was seeing Eminem feature in the latest Fight Night event.
Well, he didn’t actually feature in it as the UFC played an old exchange from Sportscenter where Dana White and the rapped got it on a verbal battle.
White doubted that Eminem could overcome his latest challenge while the rapper shot a few expletives at the UFC president.
He also claimed that this is the kind of fuel that gets him going and then walked out of the interview. This seemed to be a bit of a promotion for his song, Higher, which was released a few weeks back. It wasn’t the first time this was shown to the fans but it certainly caught the attention of many fighters.
Eminem was one of the top music artists and rappers in the late 90s and early 2000s. However, his star has waned in recent years and this could have been his way of trying to get more fans on his side.
The UFC is one of the fastest growing sports leagues in the world and it made sense to tie up with them. However, the entire clipping and the music didn’t really hit the spot for many of the stars.
Mike Perry was quick to tweet that even he was disappointed with all this, like White was in the video.
Katlyn Chookagian also claimed that this entire collaboration was extremely uncomfortable:
Angela Hill joked that Bruce Buffer’s job was on the line after the recent promo:
However, one of the best tweets came from Justin Gaethje as he asked Kamaru Usman if he was paid to feature in the advert:
It is to be seen if Eminem features in more UFC tie ups but this one didn’t really work all that well for the rapper.
