‘I’m down to fight them both’ – Stephen Thompson proposes the idea of a fight against either of the Diaz brothers

UFC welterweight contender Stephen Thompson has presented himself as a viable option for Nick or Nate Diaz’s next UFC fight

Everybody wants a piece of you if you carry the name Diaz. Nick and Nate Diaz have emerged as one of the biggest superstars of recent times and developed a cult following through their ‘kill or be killed’ attitude towards the fight game.

The Diaz boy’s name stock value unlike others drop, unlike other fighters who lose their fights, instead fans develop a deeper love and appreciation towards them. Nate Diaz has lost three of his previous four fights, while Nick Diaz lost his rematch against Robbie Lawler at UFC 266 after returning to the octagon after six years.

The younger Diaz brother is hatching to fight out his UFC contract and move away from the company, while Nick Diaz recently posted an Instagram story reminding people that he’s not done and calling out for a fight.

Reacting to the situation of both the brothers, Stephen Thompson said, ‘ I’m down to fight @nickdiaz209 or @NateDiaz209 ! I have nothing but respect for both of those guys and I’m ready to go. Who wouldn’t love good striking battle?! #respect #readytogo

Thompson has had trouble with wrestlers recently in his last few fights, who are unwilling to stand and trade with him. On the other hand all these fighters offering to fight Nate are in all innocence are influencing the UFC to not book him and tire him out.

The younger Diaz brother has emerged to be one of the biggest superstars in the game right now. Even though he has lost two of his previous fights, his stocks remain high to this day, and the UFC is cognizant of that. The UFC has recently offered lucrative contracts to Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal, and are possibly working on something similar for Diaz.

But the Stockton slugger has his sights set on a move away from the sport, with a feasible jump to boxing. MMA pundits have suggested that the UFC is other tiring out Diaz, or waiting for Conor McGregor’s comeback to set up the blockbuster trilogy fight. Diaz has claimed on several occasions that the trilogy fight does not interest him, since Conor injured himself terribly at UFC 264.

He posted a tweet saying, ‘

I been trying to fight everybody and no go what’s the hold up ufc  ?
I’m not fighting Conor he sucks.
I’ll fight some one quit slow rolling me please
Thanks’
