Conor McGregor lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229

Ali Abdelaziz, the manager of Khabib Nurmagomedov, has lashed out at Conor McGregor once again on social media.

The UFC 249 main event was thrown into disarray after Khabib pulled out from the fight. The Lightweight champion was to face Tony Ferguson on 18 April.

However, the champion is in Russia and there is a travel ban in place. Ferguson is in the US and was upset at the match being called off.

Many on social media were also upset and McGregor took a shot at Khabib. This match has been called off four times prior to this, and the Irishman added that the champion had chickened out of the clash.

Abdelaziz has been sparring with McGregor on social media for years and called out the Irishman.

The manager claimed that McGregor wanted people to stay inside, and reminded him of the excuses made after losing at UFC 229:

Abdelaziz also claimed McGregor was digging himself into a hole and labelled him a “stupid ass”.

Manager vs fighter

Abdelaziz is no mug in the Octagon and knows several martial arts himself. However, he has been fighting with McGregor for several years now.

Their rivalry, of sorts, reached its peak after UFC 229. McGregor tapped out to Khabib and that fight descended into a mass brawl.

However, Abdelaziz hasn’t taken things lightly against McGregor and has reminded him of the tapping out.

He has responded to several updates from the former UFC champion on Twitter and there is real hate between them.

The big question now is regarding the future of UFC 249. Dana White still hasn’t called off the event, and it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Ferguson and McGregor are willing to fight, and White would have to pull off a miracle in the two weeks remaining.
