Jon Jones speaks highly of the former UFC double champion Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor is undoubtedly the biggest star MMA has ever seen. But the limelight and star power of McGregor seems to have affected his ability to put on the performances like he used to. The Notorious One has been having a tough time inside the octagon lately.
However, while many have counted him out to make a strong comeback, UFC legend Jon Jones seems to have a different take. The former UFC light heavyweight champion was asked his opinion on the possibility of McGregor making a strong comeback after suffering a career-threatening injury to Dustin Poirier in July.
Take a look at what Jones had to say: “With the right team of people, absolutely, you can never count out someone like him, With all of his energy in the right place, that man could move mountains, he’s a closer”
Jones has made it known that he feels McGregor should not be counted out just yet. The Notorious One is capable of making a strong comeback. He would need to put his energy into the right place as per Jones.
McGregor is currently recovering from the injury that he sustained back in July. The injury is also set to keep him out from full MMA training until mid-2022. The former UFC double champion would be hopeful of making a return to the octagon in the third quarter of next year.
It will be interesting to see whether McGregor can overcome his recent losses and also return to winning ways in the UFC.
