Henry Cejudo has predicted how Deiveson Figueiredo would do against rising UFC star Askar Askarov

Deiveson Figueiredo became the new UFC Flyweight Champion after a dominant performance against Joseph Benavidez.

Figueiredo missed the first opportunity to win the vacant title after he failed to make the weight cut. However, he made no such mistakes on his second try as he demolished Benavidez recently at UFC Fight Island.

Figueiredo hasn’t had time to celebrate much with many stars calling him out for a fight. One has been Askar Askarov who also won on the same card as the Brazilian did.

Askarov defeated Alexandre Pantoja and is currently unbeaten in his MMA career. The Russian has 10 wins and one draw and is only 27 at the moment.

Former UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight star Henry Cejudo retired from the promotion and took shots at the new champion.

While Figueiredo fired back at Cejudo, Askarov told him not to mess around with Triple C and fight him.

Cejudo then shot back at the pair and claimed that Askar could easily beat Figueiredo since the Brazilian doesn’t have any wrestling chops.

He even tagged a couple of UFC matchmakers in hopes of getting this fight on:

Figueiredo certainly has proven to be one of the best in his division and it will be interesting to see who he fights next.

Cejudo watching the fun

The former UFC star’s position is very strange currently. He constantly tweets out to other fighters and takes shots at them, but he hasn’t openly said he would be returning to the UFC.

Cejudo has also claimed that he is preparing for a boxing clash while he has appeared on AEW Dynamite too.

Triple C remains one of the greatest UFC and MMA fighters of all-time. However, the character and gimmick he has brought out during these days hasn’t been liked by many, including former UFC star Ian McCall.
