UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has been sporting a bald look now
Alexander Volkanovski is bald now.
The featherweight champion has been sporting the bald look following difficulties in grooming his hair due to the intense coronavirus lockdown restrictions in his home country, Australia.
With his fight against Brian Ortega, for the featherweight title coming up, Volkanovski can be seen talking about shaving his hair off – in the latest UFC 266 embedded video.
Speaking about the difficulties he had grooming his hair, during the lockdown, Volkanovski goes on to state that he did like his new look.
While ruminating about the same, ‘The Great’ then proceeds to ask his head coach, Joe Lopez, “Who remembers ‘The Rock’ when he had hair?”
His witty coach quips, “Who remembers Dana White (UFC President) when he had hair?”
ESPN MMA, clipped the same and put out a Tweet with the caption: “No one remembers heroes when they had hair.”
‘The Rock’ sends in his wishes for ‘bald’ Alexander Volkanovski
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, a fellow bald celebrity, quote Tweeted ESPN MMA’s Tweet, resonating the fact that “no one remembers heroes when they had hair.”
The Rock’s Tweet read:
“No one remembers when we had hair, brother. Shave it off and keep kickin’ ass champ!!”
It is worth noting that, ‘The Rock’s fame multiplied only after he went bald. The ultra-famous actor decided to shave it off during the late 2000s and has sported the look ever since.
Volkanovski, meanwhile, will be looking forward to successfully defending his featherweight title against Brian Ortega in the main event of UFC 266.
