UFC commentator Joe Rogan had a unique location to host the UFC 249 fight
Joe Rogan is known to provide some outlandish takes on his Joe Rogan Experience show. The UFC commentator was at it again as he was speaking about the possible location of UFC 249.
Dana White recently claimed that he had locked down a location and was 99.9% sure of hosting the fight there.
Rogan claimed that the UFC could take a different route to hosting the fight and suggested a movie set would work great.
“They could do it like a film studio like legitimately they could set this up in a film studio somewhere.
“I mean they could. Tyler Perry’s got a place in Florida. Rent one of Tyler Perry’s gigantic film studios.”
Rogan said the UFC had done something similar for the troops in San Diego and Austin in the past too.
The commentator also spoke about doing this in a warehouse and the most important aspect was having a decent internet connection:
“They could do that in a studio or just a large warehouse the UFC could do it set up some lights have some crazy high-speed hook up to the Internet.”
Worried about COVID 19 cases
Rogan was also speaking about the coronavirus pandemic and was hopeful that the fighters did not contract it.
He highlighted the case of British actor Idris Elba who didn’t have any symptoms but still was hit by the coronavirus.
Rogan, however, was bullish about the match going ahead and said if all the fighters tested negative, it shouldn’t be an issue to host the fight.
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson is the main event for UFC 249. This would also be the first UFC event since UFC Brasil.
A lot is riding on White and the UFC ahead of this event. However, they have to be careful with the health and safety of all stakeholders involved.
