Ottman Azaitar was to fight at UFC 257 but was fired by Dana White
UFC 257 saw one fighter being fired from the company as Ottman Azaitar was cut by Dana White.
This came as a bit of a shock as earlier it was said that Azaitar had pulled out of his fight on the show.
However, White came out and explained that Azaitar, an undefeated MMA star, had been cut from the company.
White narrated how Azaitar broke the Fight Island bubble and cut off his wrist band and handed it over to outsiders.
An outsider than entered his room, somehow going over balconies, before dropping off a bag. White was left frustrated in all this and he had no other decision but to cut the fighter and fire him.
This is one of the more crazier stories to come out from Fight Island. Azaitar was 13-0 in his MMA career and was 2-0 after joining the UFC.
He was reaching his prime and had a lot of fighting years left. However, this will be a huge blow to his career and it is a rather weird incident.
We are yet to hear anything from Azaitar but this incident got a lot of people talking. Dan Hooker is to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 257 and he was one of the closest to seeing all the action take place.
Eryk Anders, however, had a more hilarious reaction to this. He was speaking about the person trying to get into the hotel and claimed he was akin to Mission Impossible character Ethan Hunt:
Luis Pena also brought up a comparison with himself but believed Azaitar had outdone himself in all this:

It will be interesting to know what will be in the bag but hopefully, we don’t see such shenanigans in the future too.
