The UFC Lightweight Champion is yet to lose a bout in his professional MMA career. He has also lost just one round in his time in the Octagon and has defeated some of the biggest stars in the business.

While Khabib is extremely humble and caring to his family and friends, he is a different beast inside the Octagon.

The Russian has been involved in several wars over the years, and a throwback video highlights why he is how he is.

This was taken nearly five years back, and Khabib sounded extremely confident ahead of his UFC career.

The Russian was 6-0 in his UFC career and 22-0 overall. He had defeated Rafael dos Anjos in his last fight and had taken to Twitter recently.

He was asked about speaking with several rivals on the platform and Khabib explained why he made moves on Twitter:

“I like it. I like playing games with my opponents. Lot of people say, ‘Oh, you need to be little bit humble with your opponents’.

“I don’t know why. I am humble with my family, very humble with my friends, with my father, with my brother, with my teammates.

“But my opponents will give me very hard elbow, punch, kick, take me down, choke, everything and a lot of fans don’t understand what opponent is, but I understand what opponent is.”

Khabib stuck in Russia

The Lightweight champion was to fight Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 but those plans were cancelled.

Khabib is stuck in Russia due to the coronavirus pandemic. He was to defend his title against Ferguson but that match was replaced by Justin Gaethje taking on Ferguson.

Dana White then had to cancel UFC 249 after Disney and ESPN put pressure on the UFC president. For now, all UFC fights are cancelled and it will be interesting to see how things develop for the promotion.

White has maintained that staying safe is important for all his staff, and all precautions would be taken in case a UFC event is held.
