Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson could be the biggest UFC fight of the year. The pair have been scheduled to meet four times in the past, however, they have never been able to fight each other.
Injuries to both stars have ensured that UFC fans never saw them in the Octagon at the same time, and it felt like the coronavirus would affect the fifth meeting too.
However, Dana White has been adamant that all UFC fights would go ahead as planned. The UFC president recently confirmed that fans might not be able to attend all fights. White also said that new venues would be looked at too.
UFC 249 is also one of the events which could be shifted ahead of its April date, but that hasn’t stopped some top stars from sharing their views.
Helen Yee was speaking to some of the top stars from the world of UFC, and they too are split about who could win the clash.
Some backed Ferguson to do the job as they highlighted his unpredictable nature in the Octagon.
Henry Cejudo has been an ardent supporter of Khabib in recent times and the UFC star backed the Russian to win this fight in the first round with the first punch.
That might be an unlikely event, however, Georges St-Pierre couldn’t tell who would win. The Canadian legend said that Khabib likes to control the fight while Ferguson fights dirty and is unpredictable in the Octagon.
Max Holloway was another one who didn’t know who could win. However, some feared about the fight taking place.
Valentina Shevchenko also wanted to wait before predicting the fight. She highlighted how fights between the pair have been called off in the past.
Ferguson has an unpredictable nature and that could come to play in the Octagon. The American has been working hard to get into shape, and hopefully, we see a great match on April 18.
