Tony Ferguson might not be having the best of times in the Octagon but the UFC Lightweight is more than happy to offer his services to Jake Paul.

Paul, who is a huge YouTube celebrity and holds an incredible 5-0 record in professional boxing, recently spoke about his desire to try out for the NFL.

Now, the NFL is no easy league and only a handful make it to the teams. However, Paul seems confident in his abilities and tweeted that he was getting some “cleats and gloves” to stay practising.

Ferguson was quick to comment on this and claimed he was willing to help. He also brought up his accolades from his school days.

Ferguson was a decorated athlete during his high school days and played football, wrestling and baseball.

He also was the defensive back for the Division 8 state football champions in 2000.

Tony Ferguson faces a tough task in his next outing

Ferguson has been dismantled in his last two fights and faces a tough opponent next. El Cucuy takes on Michael Chandler at UFC 274, and this has all the ingredients to be a banger.

Chandler also isn’t coming in with great form. The former Bellator Champion has lost to Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje in his last two bouts. However, in his three UFC outings, Chandler has won two $50,000 bonuses.

Ferguson and Chandler might be out of the Lightweight title talk for now, but a win at UFC 274 could change all of that.

The fight seems too difficult to call now since both stars are explosive in the Octagon. However, Ferguson might need the win more than Chandler given that he is on a three-fight losing skid and a fourth loss could have major implications on his UFC career.
