Jon Jones has been arrested several times due to alcohol-related issues

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones might be considered as one of the greatest MMA athletes, but his run-ins with the law have taken the gloss off his career.

The American has also been stripped of his UFC title in the past, but that has never stopped him from doing the business in the Octagon.

Jones has also attacked women in bars and was recently arrested for DWI and gun possession. Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident and the champion was let off with a slap on the wrist.

The 32-year-old often takes to Twitter and answers questions from fans, and he did the same on Sunday night.

Jones replied to one comment where a fan asked him about how his actions define his character. The champion admitted he has some alcohol issues, but added that this won’t affect his career in MMA.

Jones added that he only looks at his ‘good traits’ and that is why he has been so successful.

The greatest ever?

The 32-year-old has his issues out of the Octagon, but in it, he is simply incredible.

Jones has a 26-1 record with 1 a No Contest. He has beaten all comers in front of him and taken on some of the best in the industry.

Almost all the greats have some sort of baggage from the past or some issues which hurt their character. Jones has anger and alcohol issues but a sportsman could be judged on his achievements in his field.

Considering that, Jones seems set to go down in history as the greatest ever UFC star. There are others who are unbeaten in their careers or have great title reigns, but the American is on another level, and it will be interesting to see who his next fight is against.
