Tracy Cortez was proud of her boyfriend Brian Ortega following his lion-hearted performance at UFC 266
Brian Ortega proved that he is one of the toughest mixed martial artists to have ever graced the Octagon.
The man from Los Angeles literally had his face mangled by Volkanovski, but still gave ‘The Great’ a run for his money.
Right from shattered orbital bones to a nearly-blinded eye, Ortega was the picture of a zombie.
Most of his damage occurred in the wild third round, which tilted more than the tectonic plates.
In the end, Volkanovski came up trumps, emerging as the clear winner, via. unanimous decision. He defended his title for the second successive time.
Both the fighters buried the hatchet following the fight, even as the crowd roared for ‘T-City’.
At the post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier, Ortega said:
“Even though we come up short, we’re not defined by how we lose, but how we get up and overcome that sh*t.”
There is a good chance that Ortega might ask for a run back of the fight. But, it is Volkanovski who is the shot caller.
Tracy Cortez reacts to Brian Ortega’s loss at UFC 266
Brian Ortega’s girlfriend, Tracy Cortez was proud of ‘T-City’s performance despite his loss.
Taking to Twitter she wrote:
Cortez and Ortega have been dating for a while. And in recent months they have been sharing a number of snaps and videos on social media.
Cortez is currently 9-1 in her MMA career.
