Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t the only non-wrestling celebrity at AEW Dynamite with Jorge Masvidal watching the show live
AEW seems to be getting a lot of attention from non-wrestlers as the celebrities come to the party.
Shaquille O’Neal, one of the greatest basketball players of all-time, decided to step in the ring and even came out with a win on this week’s AEW Dynamite.
The multi-time NBA champion was in a mixed tag team match and even went through a table after a Cody Rhodes splash.
However, O’Neal wasn’t the only non-wrestling star to be present on the show as Jorge Masvidal also took in the AEW Dynamite experience.
Gamebred is one of the most popular stars in the UFC and he shared several photos and videos of himself enjoying the show.
AEW posted a picture of Jon Moxley and Gamebred and rightly called the pair as BMFs.
Jorge Masvidal to step inside the AEW ring?
Masvidal isn’t the first MMA star to be seen on AEW. Henry Cejudo, a two-division UFC Champion was seen in the ring a few months back and there were several other MMA stars alongside him.
They were part of Mike Tyson’s crew as the team clashed with Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle. AEW has been doing pretty well in the Wednesday Night wars fighting NXT and has consistently beaten the WWE product in ratings.
The use of celebrities has been great from AEW too and it will be interesting to see if Masvidal returns for another show or two.
Gamebred was keen on a rematch with Kamaru Usman for the UFC Welterweight title. This came after Usman called Masvidal out post UFC 258. Usman defeated Gilbert Burns with ease and Masvidal also suggested that this fight could be set up.
It is to be seen when the UFC confirms this but a lot of fans brought up Masvidal’s attire. They actually loved Masvidal’s rather unique look and Moxley’s fanny pack and here are some of their reactions from social media.
