UFC women’s fighter Sarah Alpar recently started a GoFundMe asking fans for donation
Sarah Alpar’s recent GoFundMe has once again blown open the UFC fighter pay issue. The women’s fighter recently started a GoFundMe asking for donations from fans to cover her training camp and other fight related expenses.
Alpar had set a goal of $30000 on her GoFundMe. In the most unexpected of moments, she received a whopping $5000 from YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. A stupefying 1/6th of the goal.
Paul let the world know that he had donated Alpar $5000, while also taking a dig at the UFC’s pay structure.
He wrote:
“SMH… Imagine a rookie in the NBA had to start a GoFundMe to play.. I let Sarah @TOOSWEET_Alpar know she has my support and contribution It’s my honor and privilege to help fellow fighters in anyway I can.”
Paul was widely appreciated for his help, and a few hours later Alpar hit her goal of $30000. In fact, she had made around $34000 through the donations.
An elated Paul tweeted : “So happy to see Sarah hit her goal.”
Alpar replied that she was grateful: “I’m so so grateful. Thank You!”
Sarah Alpar is set to take on Erin Blanchfield on the 18th of September.

Several celebrities and users reacted to Paul helping Alpar reach her goal. A lot also commended Paul on making it a win-win situation – Help Alpar, also blow open the fighter pay issue again.
