Ahead of his fight against Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor brought out the peahead reference

There is hardly a week left until Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier take centre stage in Las Vegas. The pair will fight it out in the main event of UFC 264 at the T-Mobile Arena on the 10th of July.

Their rivalry began way back in 2014, when a youthful McGregor got into Poirier’s head and knocked him out in the first round at UFC 178.

Seven years later, Poirier exacted revenge by knocking ‘The Notorious’ out in the second round.

With the scoreline even currently, both the fighters will be looking forward to settling the scores in the rivalry and also getting a lightweight title shot against Charles Oliveira.

More recently, McGregor posted a creepy voice tweet taunting Poirier. He once again brought out the peahead reference, which he used to mention prior to their fight at UFC 178.

Veteran MMA fighter Chris Leben, who has Irish roots is a big supporter of Conor McGregor. He was quick to react to McGregor’s tweet.

The first time when McGregor called Poirier a peahead, ‘The Diamond’ was perplexed. He had no idea what that meant and why McGregor was calling him that.

However, McGregor clarified the same explaining why he called Poirier so. The Irishman claimed that Poirier had an unusually small head with a weird little goatee (back then).
