Tyron Woodley came out in support of The Ultimate Fighter 1 runner-up Stephan Bonnar
Tragedy struck the Stephan Bonnar household recently after his Nevada home was destroyed in a huge fire, according to reports.
Bonnar, who is a legend in the UFC world since he was part of the Ultimate Fighter 1, came out unscathed but that cannot be said about his house.
His wife, Andrea Bonnar, created a GoFundMe where people could donate to help the family recover from this huge disaster.
Former UFC star Tyron Woodley was quick to pledge his support to the Bonnar family. The former UFC Welterweight Champion pledged to donate $4000 and asked others to help “protect” their own.
The former UFC Champion also wanted fans to match his donation or come up with a bigger amount.
Reports suggest that the fire department reached the scene at around 2:40 PM on Monday. More details are awaited regarding the tragedy.
Stephen Bonnar is a UFC Hall of Famer
Bonnar holds a 15-9 professional MMA record and ended his career with two losses. However, he did fight some of the biggest names of the time with bouts against Anderson Silva, Tito Ortiz, Mark Coleman and Jon Jones.
The 44-year-old fought Forrest Griffin in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 1 and was on the losing side. However, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his efforts, and many consider his bout against Griffin as possibly the most important one in the history of the UFC.
Bonnar has also dabbled in the wrestling world and made an appearance for Impact Wrestling in 2019. He is also doing a lot of commentary work now and partakes in podcasts too.
