UFC 268 has a stacked fight card as the UFC confirmed the date and location for Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington 2
UFC Vegas 35 had some incredible fights but also some big announcements. Midway through the main event, the UFC decided to show what UFC 268 was going to be all about.
The commentators confirmed the date for the event, which was going to be November 6, 2021. The location was another big one, with the event taking place in New York City at the world famous Madison Square Garden.
A big event at MSG needs a big fight or two, and the UFC delivered. The fight card for UFC 268 has a main event of Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington.
The pair had met a few years back where Usman was able to get the win over Covington and become the Welterweight champion.
Further, Covington got his jaw broken in that fight and the American has been looking for revenge and the title as well.
Covington and Usman both have picked up impressive wins since that and it will be interesting to see how the rematch goes.
While this is a huge clash for most UFC fans, UFC 268 has some other incredible bouts too.
The UFC did not confirm the prelim card fights but those would get filled in as we close in on the event.
The other fights confirmed by the UFC, for now, include Rose Namajunas defending her Strawweight title against former champion Zhang Weili.
Rose had defeated Zhang in their previous meeting with a vicious kick, and another big fight is seeing Justin Gaethje facing off against Michael Chandler in the Lightweight division.
Sean Strickland vs Luke Rockhold is another tasty looking offering and the UFC could have created the card of the year with these confirmed bouts.
