Edson Barboza got the win at UFC 262 thanks to a delayed KO but there was some concern for Shane Burgos and an update has been shared

Shane Burgos was on the end of one of the craziest knockouts in MMA history. Burgos was in a great scarp against the Brazilian Edson Barboza and this was a fast-paced fight.

Both stars gave it their all over the first two rounds before the crazy KO took place. Barboza landed a couple of clean blows on Burgos but the American seemed to be fine.

However, things just went south a couple of seconds later. First, his eyes seemed to be going somewhere else and he slowly went backwards into the cage.

Burgos was out and even before the referee could stop the fight, Barboza went in for the kill and landed a couple of other blows.

That probably was unwarranted given that Burgos was out and there could have been some significant damage done.

A shocking end to the UFC 262 fight

MMA fans have seen some crazy finishes in the past but this one will certainly be memorable. Burgos’ brain just took some time to register the blow and the damage was done.

There also was a ton of respect between the two UFC stars after the clash and they were trying to understand what actually took place.

This was the third loss of Burgos’ career but he gave it his all in the fight. This also was one of the best fights in 2021 and it will be interesting to see when the pair are back in action.

Barboza has some big plans on his mind and called out the entire Featherweight division after the win.
