Uriah Hall beat the legendary Anderson Silva in his last fight and is a fan of Tekken
UFC Middleweight Uriah Hall is coming off the biggest win in his career after he beat Anderson Silva in his last fight.
The 36-year-old got the TKO win over one of the greatest MMA stars of all-time and was also extremely respectful of Silva.
Silva is a former UFC Middleweight Champion and holds several records in the UFC. However, all the talk was about Hall’s performance and he recently shared some interesting details regarding how he picked up MMA.
While Hall was bullied in school and that was one reason why he picked up MMA, he also credited learning fighting thanks to one game.
Tekken is one of the most popular fighting games in the world and it features different MMA styles. From jiu-jitsu to kung fu to taekwondo, there is a fighter for all styles in the game and Hall claimed that he wasn’t just a fan of the game but picked up fighting thanks to it.
He also tweeted about being keen to feature in the game some day:
“Not just a fan @TEKKEN taught me how to fight the baddest is fighting game on the planet one day I will be in this game one day”
Tekken does have some fun characters to use such as Yoshimitsu and Eddy Gordo, and it is to be seen if Hall features in the game.
The win over Silva was Hall’s third straight in the UFC. The American now holds a 16-9 record in his MMA career and it will be interesting to see what is next for him.
Hall is ranked #9 in the division and a couple more wins could see him competing for the title. Israel Adesanya is the champion at the moment, and the Last Stylebender is yet to lose in his MMA career.
Adesanya also is going to fight Jan Blachowicz for the Light Heavyweight title and that should be a great battle.
Hall would be watching this closely as a future title shot could happen.
