Valentina Shevchenko and her sister endure wildly contrasting post-fight recoveries after UFC 255

UFC 255 saw Valentina Shevchenko and her sister, Antonina, pick up wins on the same card

Valentina Shevchenko and her sister, Antonina, created history at UFC 255 by being the first sisters to feature on the same card for the promotion.

They had a lot more to celebrate though as both of them picked up impressive wins. Antonina defeated Ariane Lipski and even gave her Brazilian rival a broken facial bone.

Valentina, the current Women’s Flyweight Champion, took on Jennifer Maia and defended her title again. While both stars didn’t take a lot of damage, they still had to go through recovery programmes after the fights.

The Shevchenko sisters shared what they were going through with Antonina getting a lot of work done on her body.

Valentina, who is the younger sister, decided to have some fun and was munching down on chocolates and doughnuts.

The UFC star also shared a few photos of the same but it seems her physical recovery programme wasn’t as strenuous as that of Antonina’s.

Antonina had also spoken about the contrasting training regimes for both sisters before the fight. She claimed that Valentina didn’t have to watch her diet and that wasn’t the case for the older sister.

The next target for Valentina?

While the champion should be allowed to celebrate another impressive win with a little sugar in the system, she is already thinking of her next rival.

Valentina has spoken of wanting to face Amanda Nunes for the third time. However, she could end up facing the winner of Jessica Andrade and Lauren Murphy.

Andrade seems to be the best best for the next Flyweight title shot but she has just one win in the division after moving back.

Murphy has been on a great winning streak and it will be interesting to see what Dana White has planned for the champion.
